Duration: 04 Months Role and responsibilities:
o We are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
o The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in GCP services, have experience with cloud migrations, and be adept at building scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures tailored to business needs.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Architectural Design and Planning
o Develop cloud architecture solutions leveraging GCP services such as Compute Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and Kubernetes Engine.
o Translate business and technical requirements into scalable and secure cloud designs.
o Define architecture blueprints, best practices, and cloud standards for deployment.
2. Cloud Migration Strategy o Assess existing systems, workloads, and data to determine cloud migration strategies.
o Design migration plans for applications, data, and infrastructure to GCP.
o Optimize resource utilization during migration to ensure minimal downtime and cost efficiency.
3. Implementation and Deployment o Lead the setup and configuration of GCP environments, including VPCs, IAM policies, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.
o Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Ansible.
o Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
4. Performance and Cost Optimization o Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage for performance and cost-efficiency.
o Implement solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and auto-scaling.
o Leverage tools like Stackdriver for observability, logging, and monitoring.
5. Security and Compliance o Design cloud architectures with a strong focus on security and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
o Implement identity and access management (IAM) best practices.
o Ensure data protection, encryption, and secure network configurations.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration and Leadership o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and product teams, to align cloud architecture with business goals.
o Conduct architectural reviews, present proposals, and lead discussions with stakeholders.
o Mentor and guide team members on GCP best practices and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
• Technical Expertise o Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including but not limited to:
? Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and App Engine
? BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow
? Pub/Sub and Cloud Functions
o Strong understanding of cloud networking (VPC, VPN, Interconnect, DNS).
o Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.
o Experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures and containerized workloads.
• Cloud Architecture and Migration Experience
o Proven experience designing cloud-native and hybrid solutions.
o Expertise in cloud migration strategies for workloads and data.
• Soft Skills o Strong leadership and communication skills.
o Ability to articulate and document architecture decisions and trade-offs.
o Collaborative mindset to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills • GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer).
• Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins or GitOps.
• Knowledge of AI/ML services on GCP (Vertex AI, AutoML).
• Security certifications (e.g., CCSP, CISSP) are a plus.
