Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Controls Engineering

• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs and other automation equipment.
• Support integration of manufacturing equipment with plant control systems.
• Ensure reliability and safety of control systems while minimizing downtime.
• Maintain documentation for PLC programs, control panels, and electrical schematics.

OT-IT Integration

• Connect shop-floor equipment and controls to ERP and MES systems for real-time data visibility.
• Configure and support industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
• Work with IT and business systems teams to ensure secure and reliable data flow between OT and IT environments.
• Support deployment of edge devices, industrial PCs, and data acquisition systems.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

• Partner with operations, supply chain, and IT teams to identify integration opportunities that improve efficiency and traceability.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices for industrial networks.
• Participate in system upgrades, audits, and compliance initiatives (e.g., data integrity, quality standards).
• Develop technical standards and procedures for control system and IT/OT integration projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field .
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, or OT/IT Specialist.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and industrial automation troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience integrating shop-floor systems with ERP/MES platforms.
• Strong knowledge of industrial networks, communication protocols, and cybersecurity practices.
• Experience with SQL databases, SCADA systems, or data historians is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
