We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Warehouse Lead to join our day shift team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our warehouse operations during the day shift, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of glass products throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:

Unload incoming deliveries: Utilize a crane to unload large sheets of glass and/or operate a forklift (Hi-low) to unload and stack glass racks.

Internal product movement: Operate a fork-lift to deliver racks of glass or moving (pushing) carts of glass to designated work cells within the plant.

Truck loading: Help our shipping department load our trucks with glass products, ensuring proper packing and securement to prevent damage during transit.

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, verifying quantities and locations of glass products.

Safety: Prioritize safety by enforcing established procedures for handling fragile glass products, conducting routine equipment checks, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.

Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to day shift warehouse personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Problem-solving: Identify and address any potential issues related to product movement or loading, proactively seeking solutions to maintain efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting, preferably with experience handling glass products.
• Proven ability to operate a forklift (Hi-low) and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems.
• A proactive safety mindset with a focus on following established procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Must be available to work a regular day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
