Training Coordinator

Palmer,AK

We are searching for an experienced Training Coordinator at our Palmer HQ facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Training Coordinator, as part of the Training Department, is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees. Primarily, this position supports the learning and development of employees by assisting with the creation and management of training modules and employee compliance. Secondarily, this position will assist the Training Department in the creation of asynchronous training materials.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assign, update, and report on training materials to employees’ company wide.

Using the Learning Management System (LMS), assist with accuracy of training materials including but not limited to completion and accuracy of electronic training records and employee transcripts. Research and correct issues relating to LMS content and course completion.

Support the development and maintenance of new employee training as well as job specific training for all departments of the organization.

Create and maintain training and process documentation stored in the LMS and knowledge repositories

Audit and support employees with their transcripts and other related learning activities.

Track training completion; provide management reports to support coordination and completion of overdue training.

Maintain knowledge of MTA’s policies and procedures, and business unit functions to support organizational learning and development.

Assist department in ensuring company/employee compliance with federal and state regulations in reference to trainings and certifications.

Schedule, coordinate, and support general and technical classroom trainings.

Create and develop new training materials to reflect updated course content while increasing team member engagement.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Education: High-school diploma or equivalent educational history required.

Work Experience/Skills:

One year demonstrated experience working within a Learning Management System (LMS), or similar employee records management software. Preference towards Cornerstone products

One year experience supporting a training department, or other related department in scheduling, reporting, and other administrative tasks for a large employee base.

Technical writing experience with process documentation.

Ability to work independently and with a team on a variety of assignments with people at all levels of the organization.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills sufficient to communicate effectively with business stakeholders.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills; able to adjust priorities based on needs of the business.

Self-directed and detail oriented with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
