About the role

The Training Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and tracking of training programs across the manufacturing site to ensure compliance, skill development, and operational excellence. This role serves as the central point of contact for all training activities, supporting employees, team leaders, and managers in building capability to meet the demands of a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Training Administration & Scheduling
    • Develop and maintain the site's annual training plan in alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and competency frameworks.
    • Schedule, coordinate, and communicate training sessions for new hires, cross-training, upskilling, and compliance refreshers.
    • Liaise with department managers to assess training needs and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Recordkeeping & Compliance
    • Maintain accurate training records in the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure documentation meets internal audit, customer, and regulatory standards.
    • Monitor training completion rates and follow up with leaders to close compliance gaps.
    • Prepare training compliance reports for site leadership, quality assurance, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Onboarding & Induction
    • Facilitate and coordinate new employee onboarding, ensuring alignment with site safety, quality, and operational expectations.
    • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to deliver engaging and relevant orientation sessions.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to streamline training processes and improve training effectiveness.
    • Work with SMEs to update and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, and visual aids.
    • Support the development and rollout of new training tools, methods, and technologies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build strong relationships with department leaders, trainers, and shift supervisors to ensure training supports operational priorities.
    • Serve as the site's point of contact for external training providers and auditors.
Why you?

Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree (in science/learning-related field preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG(e.g., food, beverage, pharma, personal care) or other regulated industry is preferred.
  • Formal training in instructional design, adult learning principles, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting compliance in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
Work Environment
• Office-based with frequent presence on the manufacturing floor.
• May require flexibility to support training across all site shifts.

Location - this role is based in: Lincoln Nebraska (5 days a week in office)
