Job Description

A school district in Lake Villa, IL is seeking an Elementary School Psychologist for a contract position during the upcoming school year. This role involves working directly with elementary school students to support their academic, social, and emotional development through assessment, intervention, and consultation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for student eligibility and support services
• Collaborate with educators, families, and staff to develop and implement intervention plans
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) team meetings and assist with compliance
• Support students social-emotional needs through evidence-based strategies and programming

Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist Endorsement
• Completion of a student teaching or internship in school psychology, or equivalent current experience
• Toni Linder training preferred but not required
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and school personnel

Interview Process:

• Initial 1015 minute screening call with a Soliant recruiter
• Second round 2030 minute virtual interview with district staff
• Hiring decisions typically made within 2448 hours following interviews

Location: Lake Villa, Illinois Elementary School Setting
Contract Duration: School Year (NSY)
