ABR is seeking a Residential Security Agent to ensure the safety, privacy, and security of a private residence. This position requires strong situational awareness, integrity, professionalism, and the ability to operate with complete confidentiality. Ideal candidates will have a background in military, first response, and/or residential security.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and secure all access points and property perimeters.
• Conduct regular foot patrols.
• Verify and manage all visitors, vendors, and deliveries.
• Identify, assess, and prevent security threats; implement mitigation measures.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
• Administer first aid and assist with evacuations when necessary.
• Operate and monitor surveillance and alarm systems.
• Maintain accurate reports and logs of security activities and incidents.
• Practice absolute discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
• Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when required.
Qualifications
• 3–5+ years of experience in residential security, executive protection, first response, or military service.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Demonstrated track record of success working in a fast-paced environment and strongly detail-oriented.
• Valid California BSIS Guard Card (required).
• Current California BSIS Firearms Permit or be able to obtain one within 6 months of employment (required).
• Must have CPR/ First Aid certification (or ability to obtain post-hire).
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with modern security technology and mobile communication tools.
• Strong crisis response, judgment, and communication skills.
• Must pass a drug screening, background check, and in-house training.
• Must be comfortable with and have an appreciation for all animals.
Preferred
• Current CA CCW permit
• Advanced medical training
• Defensive/evasive driving experience
