Primary Responsibilities:
The Real Estate Loan Officer will be responsible for originating and closing mortgage loans, evaluating and verifying loan applications. Providing exceptional customer service and staying current on the mortgage industry trends.
1.Establish and manage partnerships with local real estate offices.
2.Efficiently completing residential mortgage loan applications and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
3.Guide members through the loan application process from pre-approval to close.
4.Match members with appropriate products.
5.Coordinate with processors and underwriters to ensure efficient closings.
6.Knowledge of and compliance with state and federal laws, rules and regulations, and market trends.
7.Knowledge of credit unions core process system and other related credit union applications.
8.Ability to price loans and lock interest rate commitments in accordance with loan products.
9.Communicate effectively and professionally with credit union employees, members, borrowers, regulators, and third-party vendors.
10.Understand applicable credit union policies and procedures.
Other Duties:
1.Represent HCFCU in community events, as appropriate.
2.Actively participate in HCFCU functions.
3.Other duties as assigned.
1.Minimum 3 years experience in the mortgage industry, sales, HELOC or banking experience.
2.Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance guidelines.
3.Attention to detail and ability to analyze financial information.
4.Effective verbal and written communication skills.
5.PC knowledge, word processing, email, spreadsheet and other related applications.
7.Active NMLS required.
