Overview Program Coordinator, Children\'s Crisis at Jefferson Center for Mental Health . The Children\'s Crisis (CSU) Program Coordinator will work on site, three 12-hour shifts per week, in collaboration with the Manager of Crisis Stabilization Unit for the oversight and coordination of the Crisis Stabilization Unit program at Jefferson Center. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day clinical operations, hiring, training, clinical and administrative supervision of CSU clinical staff, and overseeing clinical programming and documentation related to the CSU program. The CSU\'s mission is to use an interdisciplinary team to provide brief, 3-5 day crisis stabilization treatment for children and youth with behavioral health issues. The team coordinates treatment and provides tools and safety planning for children/youth and families to safely return to their homes and the community. Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required Responsibilities Provides clinical and administrative supervision to approximately 10 program clinical staff (therapists, interns, residential counselors) to ensure day-to-day operations comply with regulatory requirements. Develops staff schedules and ensures the unit operates within the staffing matrix, adjusting staffing as necessary for coverage. Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and regulations; maintains quality of records. Maintains caseload as assigned by Manager or self by overseeing the implementation and review of all treatment services provided to each child/youth on caseload. Primary coordinator for discharge planning and transition of care to community resources for each child/youth on caseload. Collaborates with the Medical Team to ensure completion of psychiatric evaluations and medication monitoring in accordance with Center policy. Responds to and manages crises concerning clients and/or potential clients. Provides training and supervision to ensure staff meet and maintain BHA and Medicaid billing requirements. Oversees documentation, including co-signatures (if necessary) and billing requirements, in accordance with applicable regulations/guidelines. Develops and monitors approaches to improve client engagement for post-discharge services. Coordinates interdisciplinary team meetings for review of all CSU clients; facilitates team meetings and provides supervision to therapists and residential counselors. Participates in an on-call rotation as scheduled by the Director, program manager, or designee. Ensures adverse incident reporting and medication occurrence reporting procedures are followed; attends critical incident reviews as designated. Assists the Program Manager in identifying potential problem areas or areas for development, including professional development trainings; proactively identifies and solves emerging issues with clients, families, and stakeholders. Tracks staff hours and completes timesheets. Supports Program Manager in tracking unit spending within payroll and budget allocations. Responds to client/consumer needs, maintains positive interactions with colleagues and community partners, and responds promptly to phone calls, email, and other requests. Qualifications Master\'s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, social work, etc.) required. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist required. Three or more years\' related experience with children/youth. Supervisory experience preferred. Experience in crisis stabilization or inpatient settings, integrated behavioral health, or community mental health setting preferred. Other Duties and Professional Growth Participates on various interagency committees as requested by Program Manager. Participates in supervision with prepared agendas; reports high-risk cases using problem-solving approaches. Monitors, coaches, and directs clinical team on strategies to reach performance benchmarks. Attends mandatory in-services, staff meetings, clinical supervision, and online training as required. Shares knowledge of treatment modalities including dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed and culturally competent treatment. Completes Stay Interviews for staff as assigned by the Manager. Supports staff development activities to enhance professional growth. Models trauma-informed care and ensures delivery practices align with trauma-informed and evidence-based child/adolescent psychiatric treatment. Maintains professional relationships with clients, families, peers, and the public; promotes dignity and respect. Corporate compliance with documentation and regulatory requirements. Exhibits enthusiasm, adaptability, flexibility, and teamwork. Provides support for student-based positions in the program, including coordinating with academic supervisors and guiding clinical skill development. Achieves and maintains QMAP certification and CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training. Note: Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job. CSU Bonus: $1,000 at 1 month anniversary; $1,000 at 6 months; $500 at 1 year (Total $2,500). Current Jefferson Center employees not eligible for sign-on bonus. Additional salary information: Jefferson Center pay is based on education level, licensure level, and years of relative experience.
