Job Summary:
The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse in a dialysis setting. This role supports patient safety, treatment accuracy, and emergency preparedness while assisting with assessments and documenting treatment-related information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care under licensed nurse supervision

• Assist with pre- and post-dialysis patient assessments and documentation

• Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on flow sheets

• Report any significant changes in patient's condition to the supervisor

• Assist with dialysis-related emergency operational procedures

• Perform CPR and emergency support when required

• Maintain accurate, timely treatment records and follow compliance standards

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Completion of CPR Certification

• Ability to complete training in hemodialysis theory and practice

• Strong documentation accuracy and detail orientation

• Ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• Prior patient care experience in hospitals or healthcare settings

• Education in physical sciences or training in laboratory techniques

Required Skills:

• Patient care and treatment monitoring

• Dialysis procedure support

• Emergency response (CPR-certified)

Preferred Skills:

• Healthcare documentation

• Hospital or dialysis facility experience

• Basic laboratory/clinical knowledge

Additional Skills:

• Hemodialysis training completion

• Reporting condition changes promptly

• Collaboration with nurses and healthcare professionals
