Mammography Technologist Job Description ~~~ Contract Role~~~Monday through Friday September 22nd through October 31st~~~CONTRACT POSITION IS IN HOUSTON, TX~~~

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing mammographic imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety while adhering to established protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in various imaging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and support.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EMR systems, including Epic.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Stay current with advancements in mammography technology and techniques, including DEXA scans, MRI, CT, PET scans, nuclear medicine, and sonography.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and maintain a clean work environment to ensure patient safety.
• Educate patients on the importance of mammography screenings and follow-up procedures.
• Assist in the training of new staff members as needed.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Mammography Technologist or in a similar role within a hospital setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to diagnostic radiology and medical imaging.
• Familiarity with various imaging modalities such as X-ray, MRI, CT, PET scan, DEXA scan, nuclear medicine, and sonography is highly desirable.
• Understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to mammographic procedures.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
