Have an interest in a Career of designing Low Voltage Systems to include Fire Alarm, Security, Tele/Data, CCTV, Nurse Call, and Audio Systems and understand their role in the demanding construction industry.·
What We’re Looking For
· 5+ years of experience related to fire alarm and low voltage design
· Experience with AutoCAD. BIM is a plus.
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Excellent computer skills: MS Office, Acrobat, Outlook, etc
· Attention to detail and able to work with a team
· Ability to pass a background and drug screening
· Good oral and written communication skills.
· Must be self-motivated, team-oriented person and possess great work ethics. Candidate must have the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Some understanding of the process of construction projects and requirements to document all changes and deviations to specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities Will be responsible for creating working drawings for Fire Alarm & Low Voltage Systems under supervision of the Project Manager.
· Process project submittals documents and complete as-builts of final drawings and other tasks assigned to this position.
· Some knowledge of NFPA, UL, FM, NEC, ADA, UBC, UFC, and other related codes is desirable.
· NICET certification is a plus.
· Assist with project takeoffs, estimates and change order cost impacts.
· Create job submittals and closeout packages.
· Preparing complex layouts for low voltage systems, voltage calculations, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, and sketches/diagrams
· Making decisions on difficult problems and consulting the project manager when necessary.
· Working and cooperating with other departments to help achieve the company’s objectives
