Requisition ID: 176860 Job Level: Entry Level Home District/Group: Kiewit Power Engineering Department: Document Controls Market: Power Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview The Document Control Specialist (Expeditor) will support and assist Kiewit Power Engineers and Kiewit Industrial and Water Engineering with the management of supplier engineering schedule and documents in accordance with government/company regulations for various design projects. Our rapidly growing Power district , which includes structural, civil, piping, mechanical, process, process safety, electrical, instrument and control disciplines, is a multi-faceted division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the EPC delivery model for power facilities. We offer a variety of engineering services, including owner's engineering, project development, detailed engineering and design, construction management and plant services. Location This position is based out of our Lenexa, KS office. (Hybrid flexibility) Responsibilities The Document Controls Specialist (Expeditor) is primarily responsible for facilitating the receipt of supplier engineering deliverables and equipment delivery per the contract schedule. Build working relationships with suppliers, responsible engineers and Kiewit Supply Network through communication and coordination. Provide status reporting and tracking to both supplier and engineering. Responsible for managing internal and external distribution of supplier documentation on incoming and outgoing workflows. Other duties include updating and maintaining engineering document management systems; updating and maintaining various distribution matrices and document trackers for engineering records; and following processes and standards to ensure adherence to project requirements. Qualifications Required Experience Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to identify and utilize the correct tools, systems and techniques to index, files, and manage engineering documents remain flexible when dealing with changing requirements multi-task and work proactively to resolve issues work independently Effectively collaborate with others in a team-based environment Preferred Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Management, Information Technology, Data Management, or Computer Information Systems is preferred, though not required 1+ years' experience, requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, or Smartsheet EDMS such as InEight Document, SharePoint, ProjectWise, Aconex, or Documentum Other Requirements: Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
