Job Title: Dump Truck Driver
Location: [Statesboro, GA]
Pay: $20.00 hr
Job Summary:
The company seeks a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting various materials, such as dirt, gravel, sand, asphalt, and construction debris, to and from construction sites and other designated locations.
Responsibilities:
· Operate dump trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
· Transport materials to and from construction sites or other specified destinations, ensuring timely delivery.
· Load and unload materials, including operating truck mechanisms and ensuring secure and balanced loads.
· Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, checking oil, gas, tires, and other components to ensure proper functioning and safety.
· Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, materials transported, and job site deliveries.
· Report any accidents, incidents, mechanical faults, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
· Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both internally and externally.
· Work effectively in varying weather and road conditions.
· Communicate courteously and professionally with customers, dispatch, and other team members.
Qualifications:
· Valid commercial driver's license (CDL B) with the appropriate endorsements for operating a dump truck.
· Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card.
· Minimum of two (2) years of dump truck driving experience (preferred).
· Clean driving record.
· Knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety practices.
· Ability to read and understand GPS, maps, road signs, and DOT markings.
· Physical stamina and strength to perform duties such as climbing in and out of the truck, sitting for extended periods, and potentially assisting with loading/unloading.
· High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
· Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
