Salary:

TheCommercial Building Carpenterposition is responsible for detailed, quality, consistent, and safe assignments in their designated specialty. We are hiring for jobs in the Northern Kentucky, Central Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and Greater Louisville area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform work to the standards established for the Carpentry trade.
• Read and interpret plans, schematics, and drawings. Perform work according to the specifics required in these documents.
• Effectively and safely use the right trade tools for the projects assigned.
• Utilize tools and research required by trade to accomplish quality and timely work assignments.
• Continuously investigate methods and means to improve the cost effectiveness and quality of work within the trade.
• Provide guidance to unskilled labor to ensure safety and professional project completion.
• Analyze projects by working closely with the Foreman in identifying potential issues that may arise.
• Work closely with other trades where projects require simultaneous and overlapping trade work.
• Perform all work according to safety standards and promote safety on all job sites.

Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledgeable with grades and ADA requirements.
• Ability to bend, crouch and stand for long periods of time.
• Strong knowledge and experience interpreting drawings/project specifications.
• Experience at efficiently and safely operating trade tools and equipment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working effectively in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

• AS in Construction Trade or equivalent trade certification from an accredited program preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on trade experience in carpentry.
